Construction begins at Siniq maritime support wall

SIDON: Construction was launched Tuesday on the maritime support wall in Siniq, south of the southern coastal city of Sidon after Public Works Minister Ghazi Aridi placed the inaugural stone for the project in October. The project will include building a 290-meter-long wall on the coast facing the industrial city of Siniq to protect the city’s buildings and institutions from damages caused by the sea. The project will cost about LL700 million and will require almost eight months to be completed.
