Description:

This Sunday and with the collaboration of the municipality of KfarDebian Baldati is pleased to invite you to an amazing trail to Wadi El Salib Starting from KfarDebian at an altitude of 1150 m through a downhill to reach the historical stone bridge at Qlayaat at an altitude of 650 m.

Kfardebian is the town of all seasons and the capital of mountain tourism in Lebanon. Comfortably situated in the heights of Kesserwan, Kfardebian is located 600m and 2800m above sea level, 44km away from Beirut

In 2012 the European Union inaugurates the valley of Wadi el Salib, EU decides that the natural beauty of Wadi El Salib should benefit from ecological environmental protection and holds a strong potential for tourism development...

It is a Wild Valley with steep sides the bottom of which flows the Nahr El Salib , On the banks of the river we can contemplate 48 houses three mills , a church and a chapel , all are dating from the Eighteenth Century.

The Ottoman stone bridge connects the rivers banks and the Roman stairs are linking Qlayaat to KfarDebian .

Wadi El Salib is an old town the last inhabitant left the scene there over 70 years ago.

Once we are done with the valley a farmer's road will lead us to Daraya where the bus will be waiting to pick up us to KfardeBian

Kfardebian contains currently 45 houses, 3 churches ..... The ruins of Faqra, the traditional Lebanese houses, the old and new bridges, and the remaining mills in the Valley of the Cross are good evidence showing the importance of the town and its rich historical origins.

Level 2 :Continue hiking from Natural Bridge To Faqra Ruins in all 10 km 5/10

At the End of the trip the municipality of Kfardebian is inviting us to Lunch

مواصلات كفردبيان:
كانت مجاري المياه اولى المعابر التي تصل الساحل بالجبل ومنها مجرى وادي الصليب، ومجرى نهر المسنّ. وكلاهما يصل الى سفح جبل صنين وعبره الى سهل البقاع. ولانّ المعبرين تاريخيان فانّ الشعوب التي توطنت كفردبيان قديما قد سلكتهما وتركت على جوانب الواديين، اثارا كثيرة اهمها واكبرها اثار موقع فقرا بالاضافة الى الكتابات الادريانية.

اما المسالك التي تصل كفردبيان بباقي المناطق، فهي معبر وادي الصليب - العقبة عبر الجسر العثماني.

يضاف الى ذلك الممرّ التاريخي عبر وادي الصليب مروراً بفقرا وقمم صنين. وما يحيط به من مناظر فتّانة تتنوع بين الغابات الحرجية والجرود الساحرة بتربتها وحجارتها واشرافها الفريد على جمالات لبنان ساحلاً وجبلاً
