The word “agriculture” is the english derivation from the latin: “agricultura” which means: ager, a field and cultura, cultivation.

Many practices refer to the agriculture such as growing of plants, raising animals and gardening. Consequently, several products derive from these activities which can be broadly grouped into: food, fibers, fuels, raw materials, ornamentals products, pharmaceuticals and illegal drugs.

Agronomy is the science of using plants for the 4 F: Food, Fuel, Feed and Fiber. Agronomy is the combination of others sciences such as biology, chemistry, ecology, earth science and genetics.
