Hasbaya, a Lebanese southern town and center of Caza, it’s located at the foot of the Haramoun Mountain also known as – Jabal El-Sheikh. Hasbaya is located above the Hasbany River which is a stream of the River of Jordan. The Hasbany River waters the region of Hasbaya. Along the river and in the valley the farmers from Hasbaya plant their lands with crops and mainly veins. Olive trees are also very popular in Hasbaya. Hasbaya has played a big role in Lebanese history since the early days, perhaps this importance that Hasbaya played was due to 2 reasons, and they are its strategic location between Syria- Damascus, Palestine and the Lebanese interior through the Bekaa and the Caza of Marjeyoun. The second reason is the presence of a historical castle in it.
