DPNA:
Development for People & Nature Association (DPNA), a Lebanese nongovernmental secular association founded and Led by social activists to work with and respond to the needs of the local community, especially the disadvantaged (children, adolescents, youth, women and people with special needs) on the basis of sustainable development.
Development, Solidarity, human rights and Environment protection are the basis in which DPNA builds its partnerships and alliances with the local, regional, international community.
Vision :
A civil society that motivates the participation of children, adolescents, youth, women and people with special needs.
Mission :
Enhancing the role of children, adolescents, youth, women and people with special needs in :
- Being a part of the public life
- Protecting environment
- Empowering civil society institutions
Moreover, DPNA, through its development programs, puts effort on capacity challenging for target groups in poor and rural areas.
Objectives :
• To create safe spaces for children, adolescents, youth, women and people with special needs.
• To empower the communication and leadership skills among children, adolescents, youth, women and people with special needs.
• To raise the awareness of children, adolescents, youth, women and people with special needs on their rights.
• To protect natural and environmental resources.
• To increase the participation of children, adolescents, youth, women and people with special needs in public life.
• To establish an Arabic Youth Network
• To lobby decision makers with the aim of finding youth friendly laws and policies.
